2008—The Wheel of Fortune Year
2007 was a year focused on Mastery
& Completion—completing
unfinished business from the past. The primary challenge of 2007 was letting go
of old patterns of self-cruelty
and criticalness and walking our talk.
The primary symbol for 2008 is the WHEEL
OF FORTUNE, which is a symbol of
success—finalizations and new beginnings. This is a year of expanding
opportunities, awakening to possibilities around you and taking what might
formerly have looked like ÒrisksÓ as you open to personal fulfillment. This is
also a year to express generosity, which is the seed of abundance and
prosperity.
During 2008, you will be faced with
opportunities to be more flexible and non-judgmental and be open to good
fortune in every area of your life. One of the hallmarks of the Wheel of
Fortune is the ability to recognize opportunity, especially financial
opportunity, even if it appears in ÒdisguiseÓ. Judgment limits the scope of
vision, letting in only evidence (and therefore, opportunity) which fits a
pre-determined criteria or which is consistent with your previous experience.
This is a year where you are challenged to fully express original ideas and
visions, which will, in turn, open you to greater flexibility, resilience,
optimism and awareness.
The keys:
1. Have
the central focus or purpose for your life clearly before you to bring all
activities into perspective and alignment.
2. Make
proactive changes in your life in the direction of your goals and dreams, which
will then produce many unexpected activities and positive changes of direction
and fortune.
ÒAll abundance is mine.Ó
ÒI open to new opportunities and
experience expansion, prosperity and abundance as I awaken to my inner
wholeness.Ó
2008 is also a year focused on Idealism—moving out of defensive patterns of
relationship with the world where you rely on your limited self to meet all of
your needs, and moving into a pattern of defenselessness, knowing your true
relationship with the Divine and the strength, guidance and abundance which is
yours in that relationship. Idealists need to release obsession for what is
probably an unattainable perfection as well as basic dissatisfactions with what
they do. Instead of wanting everything different immediately, adopt the idea of
growth or evolutionary change and celebrate the perfection of each event in its
process of becoming. This allows for greater acceptance of ÒmistakesÓ as
learning opportunities, opening you to a willingness to try more and different
experiences without fear.
ÒI see good unfolding everywhere.Ó
ÒI am in the right
place at the right time happily becoming and expressing the perfect Self that I
am.Ó
The primary support tools
available in 2008 are:
¥ The Chariot—When you begin to fear failure and
experience holding back, you must grab the reins, take some risks, and go for
it, following what has heart and meaning for you.
ÒI
consciously choose for change.Ó
ÒI know my chosen path
and consciously focus my energies toward my goal.Ó
¥ The Manifestor—Develop efficiency in practical matters. Strengthen
your sense of values and self-worth. This is a symbol of purposeful
determination and power leading to practical, tangible results.
ÒI
have what I choose.Ó
ÒMy strong sense of
purpose and personal values powerfully create the manifestation of my desires.Ó
¥ The Soul—Representing creativity and true humility.
ÒI am perfectly led by my heart.Ó
I totally trust and follow the guidance of my
heart in all that I think, say and do.Ó
