What Will It Take?

What will it take for us to awake?
How can we know where we must go?
When will we get giving is living?
How will we know eternal life is the end of all strife?

Comfort lulls us to sleep.
Justification and defensiveness hide our fear.
Criticism and blame keep us in the same old game.
Remembering the past makes the pain last.

So what can we do to wake up brand new?
You and I are here to claim our place on this earth, the land of plenty.
We are always enough for whatever we create.
We always have enough to fill our own plate.

How can you tell what is yours, mine and ours?
When you look at life in nature, you see something very different than what humans do?
Most species only eat what they need.
They establish territory only to preserve their families.
They live by survival of the fittest.
They are free and guided by the winds of change in what is.
They live easily in the present.
They hold no grudges.
(Read the book “Ishmael” and the others that followed.
Ask me to send you Robert’s talk on “Serving Littleness” for more ideas.)

Ask yourself today the following questions to see if you are ready to wake up!
Do you believe you can be happy?
Are you willing to take responsibility for your own life?
Can you see that you are enough and have enough?
Would you be willing to enjoy a life of giving?
Can you see that living simply would eliminate much stress?
Are you open to undoing all the false and limiting beliefs about you?
Can you imagine yourself as important to humanity and making a difference daily?
Are you open-minded enough to accept others for the unique life journey they have chosen?
Can you see that you life has been a series of experiences and relationships you needed to learn?
Are you available for listening within, observing what is around you and trusting what you know?
Can you willing to let go of everything that you use to make you hurt and unhappy?
Is now the time for you to wake up and accept your life is what you make it?
Can you take full responsibility for your own choices, forgive mistakes and choose again?

Remember this song…… One of my theme songs for my life!

When the Red Red Robin comes Bob Bob Bobbing along!
They’ll be no more sobbing when he starts throbbins his song, sweet song.
I’m just a kid again doing what I did again, singing this song.
When the Red red Robin comes bob bob bobbing along.

Wake up, Wake up, you sleepy head!
Get up, get up, get up, get out of bed!
Cheer up, cheer up, cheer up the sun is red.
Live, Love, Laugh and Be Happy!

When I’m feeling blue, then I’m walking through fields of flowers.
Tears may glisten, but still I listen for hours and hours.
I’m just a kid again, doing what I did again.
Singing this song,

It is time for the light to come.
Forgive yourself…all your “mistakes”.
Forgive the world….all their “mistakes”.
Forgive everyone and everything and you will wake up and see the Light!

You will see the Light, when you have forgiven the darkness.
(Forgiveness is an eraser filled with Love!)

Loving you,

Betty Lue
